Banana Molasses Dog Treats, because this is what Koby likes:)
Guess what? It’s Koby’s 1 year anniversary! Yep, Koby has been living with us for a year now. Those of you who know me, you know that Koby is Julian’s dog. Julian got him when he was 3 years old, so he’s not new to us. But I have always loved Koby. In fact, Koby has always had his own Christmas stocking at our house. Of course, Santa always remembers him;)
Koby came to live with us at this time last year. At that time, he officially became my dog:)) I love him sooo much! You can see, just from my blog, I even bake for him. Here’s my first recipe just for him: Grain Free Anti-Itch Muffins He’s my baby! or, as I call him, my old man;)
Banana Molasses Dog Treats
This past week, I ran out of Koby’s store-bought treats (yes, I do sometimes buy store- bought!) And I didn’t want to go to the store. I looked at the old package and noticed it had molasses as a sweetener.
I had half a jar of molasses in the cupboard and some overly ripe bananas. So, here you go! As usual, I wanted to make these gluten free, so I used coconut flour and oats, with a flax egg as binder.
Koby loved these so much, he kept begging for more and ate 6 in one day! Oops! That’s a meal (or 2!) But be forewarned. Don’t do that! These muffins have some similarities to my recipe for The Best Darn High Fiber Muffins. Needless to say, it was too much fiber for Koby. He woke me up 4am the next day to poop! Ugh! He never does that. Lesson learned.
Hope your dog enjoys!
