Brown Rice Pumpkin Protein Dog Treats are Vegan and Gluten free, with an extra dose of protein. Since the humans in our household have gone Vegan, I have resolved to make Vegan treats for Koby.

Koby loves these treats. Of course, he loves anything I make;) Or rather, anything I am willing to give him. He does’t care if they don’t include meat. He’s just happy to be eating and absolutely goes crazy when I am baking and photographing my creations.

Often, he’ll let himself out of the house and go sniff around the patio for any remnants of my treats. Unfortunately, he can’t let himself back in, lol. I frequently come down stairs and see him just sitting at the door waiting for me. Funnily enough, he doesn’t scratch or whine. He just sits there patiently. Geez, I love this dog!

For these, I used cooked brown rice (leftovers that Julian didn’t like because he prefers white Jasmine rice) canned pumpkin and Pea Protein. I added a bit of pineapple to sweeten them up. Yes, Koby has a sweet tooth like me! Again, I just threw everything into to the food processor and baked. They came out moist and delicious.

I buy my Pea Protein from Swanson’s Vitamins, because they have the cheapest Organic Pea Protein I’ve found. (About $20 for 2 lbs.) And it doesn’t include anything else besides Peas. I hate when you pick up a product and there is all sorts of extra crap in it. I also order all my other supplements from them because I can save so much money. If you click on this link, you’ll get $5 off your order.
