Fresh Breath Dog Muffins

Does your dog have fresh breath? Really? Mine doesn’t. His breath smells so bad I was inspired to make these Fresh Breath Dog Muffins. They are full of good- for- you ingredients like parsley, mint and fennel.

I recently read an article that said bad breath is side effect of aging in dogs. Well, Koby is nearly 11 years old and his breath smells so bad! I decided to make him a muffin full of ingredients that would hopefully alleviate the problem. However, the article also mentioned that it might also indicate tooth decay. I see a trip to the vet in out future….

I worried that I put too much Peppermint oil in these Muffins, but Koby gobbled them right up. For that reason, I like that they are healthy and gluten free. Koby tends to get loose stools when he eats anything with Gluten. I really try to make him treats that are gluten free like this one made with Quinoa Flour.

Koby couldn’t wait for these. He was whining like crazy when I was taking pictures.

The pathetic face.

Yes, I gave him 4 mini muffins when I was done. Is that a lot? LOL. I don’t know, I just can’t resist this face. And he had just taken a bath like a BOSS, so I wanted to reward him.

These lasted for about 3 days in the fridge. I also froze some for later. To re-heat, just pop them in the microwave for about 20 seconds.
