Golden Paste, made with Turmeric, has amazing healing and anti-inflammatory properties. Enjoy it in a delicious muffin post-work out or as an anytime snack!
Ever heard of Golden Paste? Me neither, until just recently. The funny thing is, I’ve been using it in my cooking (mostly asian cuisine) for years and just didn’t know it:) It’s basically a combination of Turmeric, Coconut Oil, and Black Pepper made into a paste. The oil and black pepper ensure proper absorption of the potent Curcumin found in Turmeric.
You can add the paste to anything: smoothies, stir fry, even dog food. Hmmmm…I see a Golden Paste Dog Treat in my future;) In this case, I used Golden Paste to make delicious muffins! These were bright yellow when I put them in the oven. I was shocked when They came out red!
So, what’s the big deal about Golden Paste? It contains one of the world’s most powerful anti-inflammatory foods. According to the latest research, if you take eat this daily, you may be able to ditch some of your medications. The Turmeric in Golden Paste has recently been called the “new” Prozac, Lipitor and Tylenol! That’s pretty powerful stuff! Anytime I can use a natural method, I’m there! I’m thinking this will be a great recipe post long run.
Golden Paste Muffins
A good ratio is for the paste is: 1/2 C Turmeric, 1/4 C Oil and 1 Tsp Black Pepper. Add water as needed to make into a paste. The paste can be heated as well. I made a mini version of this for the purpose of this recipe. But you can make a big batch and save it for later.
