Anti-Itch Mini Muffins for Dogs
I made these Anti-Itch Mini Muffins for my itchy dog, Koby. Yep, I just got in my bathing suit and gave him a bath. He has such itchy, sensitive skin. I just have to get in there with him and douse him in his sensitive skin shampoo. I also feed him healthy foods like my Anti-Itch Mini Muffins for Dogs.
I had no idea when Koby came to live with us that Cocker Spaniels are known for their ear/eye/skin issues. After piles of vet bills, I discovered that a lot of the issues are related to diet. So, I started making his dog food in the crockpot and making his treats (mini muffins.)
I basically cut out the grains and make sure he has good oils (fish and coconut) in his diet. His skin problems have subsided significantly. He seems happier and is not itching as much. Just like the muffins I make for humans, I try to cram as much good stuff into one recipe as possible. These are Koby approved:)
