Quinoa Chicken Cranberry Dog Treats

Not gonna lie, these Quinoa Chicken Cranberry Dog Treats are really good. I know, because I ate one. What? The cook has to try all her recipes;)

Been awhile since I’ve created a recipe for Koby. Mostly, I’ve been adding a can of Salmon to his Grain-Free Dog Food. But Koby does love chicken, so that gave me the idea to make him a chicken treat.

I give Koby treats for going to the bathroom outside and taking his eye medicine. So, that equals about 4 per day. Because that’s a lot, when I make recipes, I want to make sure they are healthy for him. If I give him treats that aren’t homemade, I make sure they are also grain-free and healthy.

Look at that face! He looks so deprived, LOL. This is actually the face he was giving me when I was photographing the treats. I know, it’s hard to wait!

For these, I used left over Rotisserie Chicken and my Homemade Cranberry Sauce. I had a huge batch, so I also used it make these Muffins. This is basically a one bowl recipe-just mash everything together and spoon into a mini muffin tin.

Here’s the Cranberry Sauce recipe:

1 package of cranberries, 1 cup sugar, 1 c Orange juice and 1 chopped Persimmon. Simmer it on the stove top for about 10 minutes. When the cranberries started to pop, turn the burner off and mash the remaining cranberries with a fork.

This is Koby licking his lips after I gave him one of these treats. Wait! Do dogs have lips?? I do realize, I have to break this into bits since he’ll swallow it whole.
